TRANSPORTATION ACCOUNTING & CONTROL: GUIDELINES FOR DISTRIBUTION AND FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT

ERNST & WHINNEY - Organizational Body;

Transportation is rapidly increasing its importance, challenges, and opportunities for improving corporate profitability. The prompt availability of reliable information for transportation and distribution is fundamental to capitalizing on these opportunities, whether for developing transportation strategies or for controlling transportation costs. By describing the evolving needs for transportation information, and specific guidelines for developing and improving the information in all types of companies who operate a transportation function or activity, the Associations believe that this report will aid distribution and financial managers in making transportation decisions throughout the 1980s and beyond.
