PERAN PSYCHOLOGICAL SAFETY DAN EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT DALAM MEMEDIASI HUBUNGAN TRANSFORMATIONAL LEADERSHIP DAN TASK PERFORMANCE KARYAWAN GENERASI Z DI PERUSAHAAN STARTUP DI JABODETABEK

Generasi Z kini menjadi bagian penting dalam tenaga kerja, termasuk di perusahaan startup yang berkembang pesat di Indonesia. Meskipun dikenal adaptif terhadap teknologi dan kreatif, Generasi Z masih menghadapi tantangan dalam task performance akibat kurangnya keterampilan teknis dan rendahnya inisiatif kerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh transformational leadership terhadap task performance karyawan Generasi Z di perusahaan startup di wilayah Jabodetabek melalui peran psychological safety dan employee engagement sebagai variabel mediator. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode CB-SEM. Responden adalah 301 karyawan Generasi Z di perusahaan startup di wilayah Jabodetabek. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa transformational leadership berpengaruh positif terhadap task performance, psychological safety, dan employee engagement karyawan. Selain mempengaruhi task performance secara langsung, employee engagement juga berperan sebagai mediator yang memengaruhi hubungan antara transformational leadership dengan task performance. Di sisi lain, psychological safety ditemukan tidak memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap task performance dan tidak memediasi hubungan antara transformational leadership dan task performance. Akan tetapi variabel ini dapat berpengaruh signifikan terhadap task performance apabila dimediasi oleh employee engagement. Temuan ini memberikan wawasan penting bagi organisasi dalam meningkatkan kinerja karyawan Generasi Z di perusahaan startup di Jabodetabek melalui penguatan faktor transformational leadership, psychological safety, dan employee engagement.
