PENGARUH KINERJA ESG TERHADAP COST OF DEBT: PERAN MODERASI AGENCY COST

Penelitian ini mengkaji hubungan antara kinerja ESG (Environmental, Social, dan Governance) dan Cost of Debt, dengan Agency Cost sebagai variabel moderasi dari perusahaan yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) selama periode 2018–2023. Penelitian ini menggunakan data panel balanced dengan model fixed-effect. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kinerja ESG dan pilar E, S, dan G tidak signifikan terhadap Cost of Debt, yang mengindikasikan bahwa implementasi ESG belum sepenuhnya dipersepsikan sebagai sinyal pengurangan risiko oleh pemberi pinjaman. Selain itu, Agency Cost ditemukan tidak signifikan memoderasi hubungan ESG, E, S, dan G terhadap Cost of Debt. Temuan ini mengimplikasikan bahwa Agency Cost belum cukup kuat mempengaruhi hubungan ESG terhadap biaya utang dalam konteks pasar modal Indonesia.
