Tesis ini membahas tentang membangun merek pada sebuah produk loyalty program. Terdapat banyak teori mengenai faktor-faktor yang berpengaruh dalam membangun sebuah merek menurut beberapa pakar pemasaran. Salah satunya adalah Brand Asset Valuator oleh Young & Rubicam, menurutnya faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi ekuitas merek adalah, differentiation, releveance, esteem, dan knowledge. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan pada produk Garuda Frequent Flyer (GFF) milik PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk., brand differentiation, relevance dan esteem cukup signifikan dalam mempengaruhi ekuitas merek dari GFF.
