SENTIMEN MEDIA SOSIAL SEBAGAI ALTERNATIF INDIKATOR EKONOMI DI INDONESIA

Studi ini meneliti hubungan antara sentimen media sosial dengan indeks keyakinan konsumen (IKK) dan produk domestik bruto (PDB) Indonesia. Dalam penelitian ini, dipilih 28 kata kunci yang mewakili subjek kuesioner Survei
Konsumen Bank Indonesia. Sebanyak 1.131.401 data Twitter yang berisi setidaknya satu kata kunci terkumpul dari 1 Januari 2019 hingga 31 Desember 2022. Korelasi antara sentimen media sosial dan CCI sangat lemah sehingga dapat
diabaikan, menurut hasil analisis sentimen yang dilakukan pada data Twitter. Adapun korelasi antara sentimen media sosial dan PDB, cukup signifikan, terutama untuk sentimen media sosial yang berasal dari akun berita. Temuan penelitian ini dapat dimanfaatkan oleh pemerintah atau bisnis untuk memprediksi PDB dengan cara yang lebih cepat daripada metode pemerintah tradisional.
