LIBRARY MANAGEMENT: TRENDS AND OPPORTUNITIES

RAINA, ROSHAN LAL - Personal Name; GUPTA, DINESH K. - Personal Name; GAUR, RAMESH C. - Personal Name;

Given its ever-changing role in serving the community, a modern library in all its complexity and vast responsibility to society at large not only lends itself to the application to the latest management skills and IT techniques, also challenges its managers and staff to reinvent themselves in coping with the changing landscape. In honouring Late Ashok Jambhekar, doyen of librarians, this festschrift volume, containing 33 articles enshrining the thoughts, experiences, and lessons of senior library scientists and managers from all over the world, is a treasure that no serious academic or professional in the domain of library and information science could afford to ignore, conveying as it does the latest, cutting-edge technologies from India and abroad. Enriched by plenty of examples and practical tips, the book covers almost every possible topic of interest to student, faculty and professional alike.
