Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut maka disimpulkan bahwa positioning BMI melalui pernyataan "Pertama Mumi Syariah", yang lebih menonjolkan dimensi emosional, tampaknya terlalu "sempit'' dibandingkan dengan keunggulan yang dimiliki oleh BMI sendiri. Dalam jangka waktu 2-3 tahun ke depan ketika pasar perbankan syariah sudah established, positioning tersebut juga menjadi kurang efektif dalam kompetisi. Hal ini karena faktor-faktor non agama seperti jaminan keamanan, reputasi, profesionalisme, dan kualitas pelayanan akan lebih dominan menentukan persaingan antar bank syariah di Indonesia.
